Black Roots is a 1979 album by Sugar Minott. It was the first to appear on Minott's Black Roots label, and was described in the book Reggae: 100 Essential CDs The Rough Guide as a classic, which catches the singer on the cusp of the roots and dancehall phases, and with total control over his music. The album includes contributions from some of Jamaica's top session musicians including Leroy Horsemouth Wallace, Noel Scully Simms, Eric Bingy Bunny Lamont, Gladstone Anderson and Ansell Collins. This one has so many powerful, emotional riffs, and I'd say the highlight of this album is Roots, the riff at 12:43 is so emotionally powerful. Andrew is a musical genius Favorite track: Roots. LoneWolf I played this magnificent album so much i wore the cd out and grabbed it aga. Make sure you don't just vote for critically acclaimed albums if you have a favorite Roots album, then vote it up, even if it's not necessarily the most popular. If you want to know, What is the best Roots album of all time or What are the top Roots albums then this list will answer your questions. Getting their start back in 1989, the Roots have led a long and successful career, releasing a series of great albums. The discography of The Roots, an American hip hop band, consists of fourteen solo studio albums, three collaborative studio albums, three compilation albums, two extended plays, and two live albums. The Roots began performing in 1989 as The Square Roots with rapper Black Thought and drummer Questlove. Rapper Malik B. and bassist Leonard Hubbard joined the band in 1991. Over its history, Questlove and Black Thought have always remained with The Roots while their lineup of backing musicians has changed. Firstly, all of The Roots' albums are great so it doesn't really matter where you start. Also they have had a lot of different sounds over the years so it depends what you're looking for. Early work Organix, Do You Want More, Illadelph Halflife are more jazzy especially Organix and Do You Want More. Mid Work Things Fall Apart, Phrenology, The Tipping Point are hip-hopneo-soul albums. I'd personally say The Tipping Point is the Roots most accessible album - short, slightly poppy in areas, nice hooks but still very much a Roots album despite all this. Mid - later work. The Roots. The Roots presented their most recent a raw, head-fuck album And Then You Shoot Your Cousin in 2014. A short album in length, this album is no less thought-provoking than anything else they had done previously. Альбом 2011 Песен: 11
