Down on the Farm is the seventh studio album by the American rock band Little Feat. The album was completed and released shortly after the death of the band's founder and frontman, Lowell George, in 1979. It was their last original work for nine years. The band had announced their break-up in June 1979 during the making of the album. Little Feat would reform in 1987. The cover shows one of Neon Park's several duck-girls - an allusion to The Finishing Touch by painter Gil Elvgren. I wrote this song for two reasons, I love farms and everything about them, and I got. We lived in an area that was all farm land. Right next to my house was a huge farm. As Little Feat were working on their seventh studio album, Lowell George was just marginally part of the group, spending much of his time completing his solo album, Thanks I'll Eat It Here. While he was touring in support of the record, he suffered a massive heart attack and died, leaving behind an uncompleted record with Little Feat. After mourning, the band regrouped and patched together Down on the Farm, the last album of the Lowell-led era. Текст песни: Every Sunday morning, before daybreak Down upon the farm, on the fishpond All the little ducks, they go paddling Look out goldfish your for On the Farm would be Little Feat's final studio album to feature their leader Lowell George as the band would complete the release soon after his untimely death. While their previous release, Time Loves a Hero, showed an exciting new direction in fusion, Down on the Farm sounds like the band phoned it in. The great songs as well as their strong musical interplay were gone and a very glossy production didn't help matters. The title track is the best song here and remains a staple of their live show. Six Feet of Snow, which the band still. Down on the Farm is a song written by Jerry Laseter and Kerry Kurt Phillips and recorded by American country music artist Tim McGraw. It was released in July 1994 as the third single from McGraw's 1994 album Not a Moment Too Soon. The song peaked at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Billboard Magazine called the song a backwoods party song. Down On The Farm. This song is by Little Feat and appears on the album Down on the Farm 1979. Down On The Farm sees Lowell George sounding entirely pre-occupied, circling the band, fading in an out of this project as if he were transparent, as if he were a ghost with that notion hitting home, as his death was simply hanging out in room 302 of the Marriott Twin Bridges Hotel waiting for Lowell to unlock the door and walk in. This is not to say that the album doesnt have its moments, because it does, its just that the recored lacks that Little Feat atmosphere, where those inspired moments need to be searched out and nurtured as half remembered dreams. Certainly I could go through the outing song by song, list. Unknown Artist - 50 Funlearn Songs: Farm, Farm Animals Record: Record 3.
