Album

Who is the twelfth studio album by the English rock band the Who, released on 6 December 2019. In January 2019, The Who confirmed that they were working on their first album of new material in 13 years since their 2006 studio album Endless Wire, which would contain dark ballads, heavy rock stuff, experimental electronica, sampled stuff and Who-ish tunes that began with a guitar that goes yanga-dang, as Townshend stated. As with previous Who albums, vocalist Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete. The Who's 'Who' is classic-rock comfort food. Rick Guest. The first Who album in 13 years opens with a perfectly cynical Pete Townshend lyric: I dont careI know youre gonna hate this song. But its kind of hard to hate something that feels so familiar. The Who have only sparingly released new music since the death of drummer Keith Moon in 1978 - Who is only their fourth album since then - but it seems like biding their time has worked in their favor. On the Who's first album in 13 years, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend sound invigorated, even in songs that address 70-something concerns. The word old feels wrong, of course, when 75 is the new 40 and the Who have been bashing it out on the road just like Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones, the whole OK-boomer lot of them playing like there was plenty of tomorrow. Amid that live vigor, McCartney and Mick & Keith arent so eager to devote nearly a whole album to ruminating on autumnal things. Townshend Not so avoidant. In the 13 years since the Who 's last album, Endless Wire , Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend released solo records, wrote books and toured together as the band they formed back in 1964. They've also made a renewed commitment to rock 'n' roll in that time, maybe sensing they're not going to be around forever. Or maybe they just think music needs another jolt of power chords and rock-god singing after years of decreasing sales and relevance. Either way, Townshend knows it's an uphill battle. And so Who recalls bits and pieces of their classic years. There's some The Who Sell Out here, some Tommy there, plus an abundance of Quadrophenia and The Who by Numbers too. The Whos twelfth studio album, WHO was released on 6 December 2019 in the following formats: Standard vinyl Polydor 7747053, Deluxe audiophile triple vinyl with rare demo Sand on LP3 Polydor 7748605, Standard CD Polydor 773036, Deluxe CD with three bonus tracks Polydor 0826465 and Cassette Polydor 0806462. The eleven-track album was mostly recorded in London and Los Angeles during spring and summer 2019 and was co-produced by Pete Townshend and Dave Sardy with vocal production by Dave Eringa. Singer Roger Daltrey. In this video I list The Who's 11 Studio Album from least to bottoms out with the maudlin Break the News , composed by Petes younger brother, Simon. It sounds as if plucked from some kind of factory for generic acoustic pop songs - somehow like 100 other songs youve heard, yet none you can actually name. The Verdict: Pete Townshend recently told The New York Times that, even at his advanced age, he has no idea who he really is. This album may not represent one of The Whos strongest collections of songs, but its the rare case study of a legacy brand as a vehicle for plumbing new ideas and moving forward. That alone - and, yes, the power chords - makes it a worthy addition to the bands storied discography. Songs in album The Who - The Who Sell Out 1967. The Who - Armenia City In The Sky. The Who - Heinz Baked Beans. The Who - Mary Anne With The Shaky Hand. The Who - Odorono. The Who - Tattoo. The Who - Our Love Was. Альбом вышел 16 декабря 1967 г. В Великобритании альбом занял 13 место, в США 48. Оригинальный релиз содержал 13 песен. Практически каждый альбом The Who неповторим, однако, на мой взгляд , The Who Sell Out -1967 вообще стоит особняком
